Magit Drop Rate and Stats Explained
These planning values agree across the community Magit page and Game8's current Magit entry. They are useful for deciding what to mine and how to use the ore, but the live game remains the final authority. The table also separates a confirmed-looking index value from the decision it should change.
| Field | Current reference | Planning meaning |
|---|
| Rarity | Epic | Rare enough to save, but not a top-end Legendary or Divine material. |
| Drop chance | About 1 in 300 | Expect variance. Some sessions will drop one early and others can exceed 300 eligible breaks. |
| Source | Bamboo Boulder | Farm the correct World 4 rock instead of treating every bamboo node as equivalent. |
| Multiplier | 6.8x | Useful mid-to-high support for raising a recipe average without adding a trait. |
| Trait | None listed | Use Magit for multiplier value; do not expect a weapon or armor passive from it. |
| Base price | About $159.38 | Selling may fund upgrades, but compare the crafting value before cashing out the first drops. |
Is Magit Worth Using or Selling?
Magit sits in a useful but easy-to-misread position. Its 6.8x multiplier is much stronger than early ores, yet it has no listed trait and is not one of the rarest World 4 materials. That makes it a flexible recipe-support ore. The right decision depends on whether your current bottleneck is recipe strength, a specific passive effect, or money for a pickaxe upgrade.
Use it as multiplier support
Add Magit when a weapon or armor recipe needs a stronger average but its trait source is already covered by another ore. Test the full combination first, because one good multiplier cannot rescue an unfocused mix by itself.
Save the first drops
Keep at least the first few pieces while learning World 4 recipes. A later craft may need clean multiplier support, and replacing a spent ore requires another eligible Boulder drop rather than a guaranteed shop purchase.
Sell only for a clear upgrade
Selling makes sense when the cash immediately unlocks a pickaxe or survival upgrade that increases future farming speed. Selling simply because the price looks high can leave you short when a recipe comparison favors Magit.
