To get Magit in The Forge, reach Crimson Sakura Isles, enter Bamboo Cave, and mine Bamboo Boulders. Current community and editorial references list Magit as an Epic ore with about a 1/300 drop chance, a 6.8x multiplier, no listed trait, and a base price near $159.38. Do not mine Bamboo Pebbles or rely on every Bamboo Rock when Magit is the only target: the listed source is specifically Bamboo Boulder. A 1/300 chance is a probability per eligible drop, not a promise that one ore appears on the 300th attempt.
The useful route begins after World 4 access, not at an early-game mine. Crimson Sakura Isles is the fourth main region and Bamboo Cave is one of its mining locations. The rock matters as much as the area: community rock tables list Magit under Bamboo Boulder, whose durability and power requirement are much higher than starter rocks. If your pickaxe cannot clear those boulders comfortably, improving mining power will save more time than wandering between every node.

Magit sits in a useful but easy-to-misread position. Its 6.8x multiplier is much stronger than early ores, yet it has no listed trait and is not one of the rarest World 4 materials. That makes it a flexible recipe-support ore. The right decision depends on whether your current bottleneck is recipe strength, a specific passive effect, or money for a pickaxe upgrade.
Add Magit when a weapon or armor recipe needs a stronger average but its trait source is already covered by another ore. Test the full combination first, because one good multiplier cannot rescue an unfocused mix by itself.
Keep at least the first few pieces while learning World 4 recipes. A later craft may need clean multiplier support, and replacing a spent ore requires another eligible Boulder drop rather than a guaranteed shop purchase.
Selling makes sense when the cash immediately unlocks a pickaxe or survival upgrade that increases future farming speed. Selling simply because the price looks high can leave you short when a recipe comparison favors Magit.

Bamboo Boulder is the listed source. Bamboo Pebbles and ordinary Bamboo Rocks have different loot tables, so target the boulder when Magit is your goal.
